Polyethylene liners, normally referred to as poly liners, are flexible plastic liners specifically designed to be fit in flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC or bulk bag). Dealing with Sensitive materials and chemicals often creates a double protection needs. Poly liners are applicable in any situation with sensitive bulk products. Poly liner can help to protect bulk bag itself and the product inside. It is particularly useful to transport very find powders which leaks occurs and contamination happens. The benefits of bulk bags paired with poly liner include oxygen barrier, moisture barrier, chemical resistance, anti-static properties, heat resistance and high strength etc. FIBC liners can be inserted into bulk bags or can be made with attachment tabs which allow the liners to be sewed, tied or glued to the bag.
The four most common types of bag poly liners are:
·Lay-Flat Liners: They are cylindrical in shape, open at the top, and the bottom is often heat sealed
·Bottle neck liners: Bottle neck liners are specifically designed to fit the outside bag including the spout top and bottom
·Form-Fit Liners: Form-fit liners are specifically designed to fit the outside bag including the spout top and bottom
·Baffle –inside Liners: The baffle liner is form fitted to the FIBC and makes use of internal baffles to maintain a square shape and prevent bulging of the bag
FIBC bags with poly liners are widely using in a variety of industries and applications where FIBC’s are being used, especially the food industry and the pharmaceutical industry which products are sensitive. They can easily be paired with FIBCs to provide an extra protective layer for the product and bulk bag against moisture and contamination.
